Sky Bet price Town at 15/8 to pick up three points in Essex

7 April 2016

Wes Burns 11/2 to score the opener at Roots Hall

Following Tuesday night’s impressive victory over Peterborough United at Highbury, Fleetwood Town have been priced at 15/8 to beat Southend on Saturday.

The win in midweek moved Steven Pressley’s side up to 19th in the Sky Bet League One standings, after goals from Wes Burns and Eggert Jonsson won the game.

Town drew with the Shrimpers on the opening day of the season, as David Worrall’s late goal rescued a point for the Essex outfit on the Fylde Coast.

In-form Wes Burns, who has five goals to his name in Fleetwood colours, is available at 11/2 with Sky Bet to score first on Saturday.

An alternative bet is Bobby Grant to score within 90 minutes which is priced at 7/2, while Antoni Sarcevic can be backed at 12/1 to net the opener.

Phil Brown’s men are favourites to pick up the three points at 6/4, however a share of the spoils once more is 9/4.
