Steven Pressley's men travel to the County Ground on Saturday

Fleetwood Town hit the road on Saturday afternoon when they visit the County Ground for a Sky Bet League One fixture against Swindon Town.

Steven Pressley’s side go into the game having recorded a goalless draw away at Chesterfield over the Easter weekend, and the Cod Army will be hoping for a winning return in Wiltshire.

By contrast, Swindon were on the end of a 6-0 defeat at the hands of Scunthorpe United on Easter Monday, a result which leaves them 15th within the third-tier standings.

First-half strikes from Conor Townsend and Jordan Clarke put the Iron two to the good, before Hakeeb Adelakun, Paddy Madden and Tom Hopper’s brace completed the scoring at Glanford Park.

Team News

Nathan Pond is back in contention having been named amongst the substitutes at the Proact Stadium last weekend after recovering from his injury.

Bobby Grant will also return to the squad after serving his three match suspension following his straight red card at Burton Albion.

Antoni Sarcevic and Shola Ameobi are doubts for the Cod Army, while Danny Andrew and Bob Harris will both definitely miss out through injury.

Born in Bury, Ajose started his playing career in the youth ranks at Manchester United, where he subsequently signed professional terms at Old Trafford in 2009.

Ajose spent the 2010/11 season back at hometown club Bury – scoring 13 goals in 28 appearances as the Shakers were promoted to League One.

He departed Manchester United in July 2011 without playing a game in United’s first-team, linking up at Peterborough United.

In four-years at London Road, Ajose would make 24 appearances for the Posh, netting the seven times.

Loan spells with Scunthorpe United, Chesterfield, Crawley Town, a return to Bury, and Swindon Town followed.

The 24-year-old signed for Leeds United on a permanent deal in August 2014, but was subsequently loaned out to League One side Crewe Alexandra in November of the same year.

Whilst at Gresty Road, Ajose played a key role in helping the Railwaymen to survival, scoring eight goals in 27 appearances for the Cheshire outfit.

After leaving Leeds, the 24-year-old signed for Swindon Town on a free transfer, and has since impressed on a regular basis at the County Ground.
