The Peterborough based foundation was formed in 2007

The Free Kick Foundation was founded in 2007 and gained registered charity status later that year. Based in Peterborough, it is run on a voluntary basis by Steve Thorpe and Sam Downing.

The Charity arranges for children and families who are going through tough times to have experiences at their favourite club. They call these experiences ‘Kicks’.

The charity buys mascot and hospitality packages at clubs across the United Kingdom and then starts searching for families to whom it can donate them.

These children may be suffering with an illness or a disability, have experienced the loss of a family member or be dealing with other difficulties in their lives.

Today the charity are delighted to be able to offer two young Cod Army fans, Callum Bond and Harry Leyne, the opportunity to become mascots for the day and lead the team out onto the pitch.
