Highbury hosted England vs Scotland last Friday night

Fleetwood Town Football Club have received praise from the English Schools’ Football Association following the recent game at Highbury Stadium. vs Scotland U18 Schoolboys game last Friday night with England running out 2-1 winners.

The match was another great coup for the Club as they hosted an international fixture which saw England defeat Scotland 2-1. The previous occasion that Highbury hosted an international fixture was for an England C game in February 2012.

ESFA officials have been quick to thank the Club for their efforts in hosting the game, and hope to come back again in the future.

They said: “The English Schools’ Football Association want to thank everyone at the Club for all their help and organisation in running the game. It was an excellent event for all and we wish Fleetwood Town all the best for the rest of the season.

Martin Booker, Head of Commercial, added: “We were delighted with the response particularly for the team ticket initiative where we had close to 30 junior teams taking advantage of the offer to swell the crowd at Highbury.

“The game was a great spectacle and the England team also benefited from using our new training facilities at Poolfoot Farm which was another highlight of the event.”

You can book Highbury Stadium for your event and enjoy a day in professional surroundings in May. Limited dates and kick off times are available for the ‘Highbury for hire package’, with a number of high profile events to come at the end of the season between 9th and 22nd May.
