Youngster made his second appearance on SaturdayAttacker Jack Sowerby believes the young talent emerging at the Club will only help to benefit Town in the long run.
The youngster made his second cameo appearance against Bradford City at the weekend, coming on for the final eight minutes of the contest.
He follows in the footsteps of the likes of Tyler Forbes, Nick Haughton and Ash Hunter, who all broke into the first team set-up last season.
Sowerby now wants to grasp his opportunity in Graham Alexander’s side after making his debut recently against Colchester United.
After the Bantams clash, he said: “I was delighted to get on again. I’ve just got to keep on working hard in training and my chance will come eventually.
“I’ve just got to keep on doing what the gaffer tells me to do and that way I’ll improve. Hopefully I’ll get my chance and my reward.
“It’s been a massive step up for me personally this season and it’s been tough, but the lads have helped me through it.
“Some of the lads have been in my position before so have helped me a lot. It’s been easier because of them.
“There’s a lot of good young players at this Club. If they keep working hard like myself, Nick, Ash and Tyler have done then they’ll get their chance.
“My aim for now is to just get as many minutes under my belt, and then hopefully I’ll be able to get a start later on into the season.”
