Pressley: We have to believe we can beat Walsall

Town drawn away to Saddlers in the FA Cup

Steven Pressley said his side must believe they can beat Walsall next weekend after the two teams were drawn against each other in the first round of the FA Cup.

The draw was made on BBC2 on Monday evening, and the Cod Army will travel to the Banks’s Stadium for the game on the weekend of the 6th-9th November 2015.

Dean Smith’s Saddlers side have started the Sky Bet League One season in excellent form, and currently lie second in the table.

Pressley said: “It’ll be a tough game for us. In terms of teams we could have been drawn against in terms of form and position, then we couldn’t have had a more difficult draw.

“From my experiences at Coventry in the cup then they are all extremely tough games. It’s just another game we have to go and try and win.

“It’s a game we must believe we can win. I always like going to Walsall as it’s a stadium which creates a good atmosphere.

“I’m sure there will be a terrific atmosphere there on the day of the game, and again it’s one we have to go into with belief.”
