Youngster made his debut for the Cod Army at right backJoe Davis made his Town debut at right back in this afternoon’s narrow defeat to the Sky Blues on the Fylde Coast.
The youngster, who recently signed a loan deal with the Cod Army from Leicester City, was given the nod in defence.
Richard Wood’s unfortunate own goal late on was a bitter pill to swallow for the Steven Pressley’s men, however they now turn their attentions to Burton Albion next weekend.
Davis said: “We worked really hard as a team and we definitely deserved something given the work and effort we put into it.
“We had some chances and Nick had a great opportunity at the back post, so we could have perhaps won the game in the end.
“Unfortunately we go away with nothing though and that’s tough to take because we could have got something.
“It was nice to play today as I’ve obviously been waiting around to play for a couple of weeks. I was little bit out of position at right back but it was nice to get a game.
“I felt quite good comfortable there though so hopefully I can get a run in the side and stay in it over the next few weeks.
“It was a tough and we were made to work hard so I was blowing a bit towards the end, but overall we put in a great shift and are all gutted.
“The gaffer has already put into our heads that we need to be intense every single day and take that into games on Saturday.
“That showed today and he’s already changed things around in the couple of days he’s been with us. That was there for everyone to see.
“He’s very disciplined and will certainly get us working really hard. He’ll also get us playing as well like we were in the first half.
“We could have maybe done more with it but that’ll come, and I’m sure the gaffer will work with us even more and get us organised.”
