Youngster joins the Cod Army from Everton

David Henen feels the opportunity to join the Cod Army on loan will benefit his game as he signed a deal with the Club until the 13th December today.

An attack minded player, Henen joins Town from Premier League side Everton and will be available for this weekend’s game against Peterborough United.

He has previously spent time with Olympiakos, but signed a three-year deal with the Toffees during the summer.

Speaking to the Club’s website after signing, Henen said: “I am very happy to join Fleetwood Town and I feel it is a very good opportunity for me.

“It gives me a chance to play first team football instead of playing for the Everton U21 squad.

“I am looking forward to playing in League One. It is a very competitive league and it will set me up well for the future.

“I can play either up front or on the wing. I am a technical player, fast and two footed. I will give everything for Fleetwood Town.

“I hope that I can excite the supporters and I want to put in good performances for the Club.

“I have been playing regularly for the Everton U21s and I scored and created a number of goals last season.

“I will give it my all for Fleetwood Town and I am looking forward to this weekend’s match at Peterborough.”
