Cod Army were beaten at London Road this afternoon

Steven Pressley gave his reaction to the Club’s website after this afternoon’s defeat to Peterborough United at London Road.

Souleymane Coulibaly put Posh ahead on 56 minutes as he converted a cross from the left beyond keeper Chris Maxwell.

David Ball equalised for Pressley’s men soon after as he beat Ben Alnwick inside the box with an incisive finish.

Jermaine Anderson then gave his side the advantage once more when he headed home at the front post.

After the game, Pressley said: “I’m disappointed with the result because for any neutral it was a pulsating game of football.

“There were lots of chances and lots of moments in the game, but the most disappointing thing for us is that we didn’t win because it’s all about winning.

“We have to make sure we turn performances like the second half’s into wins.

“In terms of effort the players gave us everything. In terms of quality in the first half we can be better than that.

“In terms of the bread and butter of defending we can also be better. To show a desire to win the game thought I thought we were fantastic.

“But again we lost and like I say we have to turn those performances into wins.

“I believe we can be a good team but think in the first half we lacked that little bit of belief. We just need to progress as a team.”
