Cod Army picked up their second successive victory

Steven Pressley described Town’s win over Millwall this evening as a complete performance as goals from Eggert Jonsson and Bobby Grant won them the game.

Jonsson struck midway through the second half with a header at the back post, before Grant scored direct from a corner a minute from time.

Byron Webster netted a consolation for the Lions deep into stoppage time, but Town held on for another big three points.

After the game, he said: “Although we didn’t score the goals we did at the weekend, I thought it was a very complete performance tonight.

“I asked the question to the players if they could replicate the weekend’s performance and put back to back victories together.

“I’m really, really pleased for them and they deserve an enormous amount of credit because they played with such energy and intensity.

“It was a game that we dominated for most of the 90 minutes in difficult conditions, and what a great result it was.

“We managed to hem them in for long periods of time and our reaction to the loss of possession was great.

“I thought again that our midfield three were fantastic. They cover so much ground for the team and broke moments up.

“I was delighted with our back four too because when you play the wind in these conditions, you have to play with bravery and push the lines.

“A special mention must go to Conor McLaughlin too. We talk about goals in games but his header at the back post was a match winning moment.”
