Uzbek goalkeeper made his development squad debutRustam Nartadjiev felt both he and Sergey Prokhorov coped well during their first taste of English football against Carlisle United yesterday.
The pair were introduced to the game with 20 minutes to play, and performed impressively against the Cumbrians at Town’s new training ground.
They have been training with the Club since September and will remain on the Fylde Coast for three months after arriving from Lokomotiv Tashkent.
After the game, Nartadjiev said: “It was amazing to play my first game for the Club as I really enjoy the football over here.
“It was my first game after a long time without playing, but I felt good and the football is very fast which I like.
“Football in Uzbekistan is a little bit slower and more technical, but in England it’s much more stronger and quicker.
“It was good that both me and Sergey got to play for a little bit and we’re both hoping we can feature more in the future.”
