Town entertain Millwall at Highbury on Tuesday

Joe Davis admits confidence in the camp is high after such a resounding victory against Swindon Town at Highbury over the weekend.

Town put five past the Robins in what was a fine attacking display, with David Henen, Antoni Sarcevic, Tariqe Fosu and Bobby Grant all on the scoresheet.

And with Millwall the visitors to Highbury on Tuesday night, Davis says Town fear no team as Neil Harris brings his Lions to the Fylde Coast.

Davis said: “We’re going into the game with tons of confidence having scored five goals at the weekend, and with it being at home again we certainly fancy our chances.

“Millwall will be wanting to go straight back up if they can this year. They’ve got a pretty big wage bill so it’ll be a tough game but we don’t fear anyone.

“We’ve played enough teams now to know we can perform against anyone, and when we’re on our day we can beat any side.

“It’s a massive week for us and we know if we can come away with maximum points it’ll stand us in good stead to where we want to be.”

Davis complimented both Henen and Fosu, who made their first home appearances by netting in either half.

“The two new loan lads have come in and certainly made a difference, and all credit for them for doing that. They’ve got pace as well as skill and that certainly showed on Saturday.

“We’ve been working towards that sort of attacking performance for a while now, and we’ve got ever so close to doing that in recent weeks.

“We’d been so close to doing it but just hadn’t been able to score, but it all came together nicely at the weekend and hopefully we can carry it on now for the next few weeks.”
