The Cod Army won on the final day against Port Vale
Fleetwood’s final outing of the season came in the form of a trip to Staffordshire to face Port Vale.Town finished the season with maximum points against Vale, as Josh Morris and Mark Roberts netted in a 2-1 victory.
Morris opened up proceedings with a volley which left Chris Neal static after 17 minutes, before Roberts added a second goal nine minutes later, tapping in from a yard out following a corner-kick.
Michael O’Connor pulled a goal back for Vale in stoppage time at the end of the game, as Town ended their season on a positive.
The result meant that Fleetwood finished tenth, on 63 points from their 46 fixtures.
