Defender will link up with Barry Nicholson's development squad
Fleetwood Town are delighted to confirm that second year scholar Matty Williams has signed a 12 month professional contract with the Club.Full back Williams will join Conor Smith in Barry Nicholson’s development squad next season and will hope to follow a number of young players that have progressed to the first team.
Development boss Nicholson said: “I am delighted for Matty. He is a great lad and his attitude is first class. He moved up to the development squad last season and he improved quickly.
“We did everything we asked of him. The manager watched all the development matches towards the end of the season. He liked what he saw with Matty and it is great that he will be with us next season. “
