Town striker hoping Cod Army can build on Bradford draw

Jamie Proctor wants his Fleetwood Town side to use the 3-2 defeat at Deepdale in October as motivation when the sides clash on Sunday.

The Cod Army currently sit in 10th place in League One, and know that a win would push them right into the Play-Off mix with only eight games to go.

North End themselves are on a good run of form though, and occupy second place in the league behind Bristol City.

Ahead of the game, Proctor said: “It’s a big game for us and a big game for them.

“It’s a big one for the fans as well and everyone will be looking forward to it.

“The result was disappointing the last time we played them, and everyone is looking forward to it.

“We haven’t really spoken about the last game to be honest, but I’m sure it’ll be in the back of everyone’s minds.

“We played so well for the first 45 minutes and then to come away disappointed was not great.

“We’ll try and just focus on the game in hand really.

“There’s a few of us who are from Preston so it’s one of those which I’ll always look out for.

“It will be a little different but I’ll just try and treat it like any other game.

“I’ve played against them a couple of times now so it’ll just be another game.

“All the pressure will be on North End and everyone will be talking about them.

“We’ll need three points as well, and if we do pick them up then we’ll be in a really good position.”
