Fuse Football opens its doors on Monday 2nd March

It is upon us. After months of waiting, the first phase of Fleetwood Town's brand new exciting multi-million pound training complex, Fuse Football, will open on Monday.

The full size 4G FIFA 2 star standard pitch is now set to be played on by over 1,000 people in the local community, running over the course of five days. The pitch, which will hosts, leagues, tournaments and coaching sessions, will be active from 4pm-10pm, Monday to Friday.

Fuse Football Centre Manager Mick Horsfall has been delighted with the response so far.

He said: “The demand for our opening week has been fantastic with junior clubs, local 11-a-side teams, businesses and the general public taking advantage of our opening offer for a one hour’s free play on the pitches.

"We are also set to launch some new leagues for those who are keen to set up their own seven-a-side team, a master’s league for over 30’s as well as a number of businesses challenging each other in our corporate challenges too.

”The new seven-a-side Leagues on Wednesday nights are just £25 per team to enter whilst we are now taking bookings for pitch bookings from £35 per hour.

If you haven’t taken advantage of the opening offer there is still time to claim a free hour trial with bookings being taken for week commencing 9th March.

“There is still time to book in some free slots the following week so please get in touch at the earliest opportunity to secure a pitch.” added Horsfall.

In addition a series of tournaments and events have also been set up for the likes of BES Utilities and community groups such as the Cubs and Scouts in the coming weeks with expressions of interest for corporate and football festival based events in the summer months. Steve Curwood, Chief Executive, is delighted with the progress made in recent weeks.

He said: “We have made some rapid progress in recent weeks working with contractors F.Parkinson so we are pleased to reach this stage on time. The car park and access road is nearing completion, the floodlights have been tested, and signage is going up in and around the site and the finishing touches to our new temporary offices and changing facilities will be ready for opening on Monday evening for the first time.

"We are all working hard with the staff and our partners to make the facility one to be proud of and despite the obvious on going building works in and around the 4G facility we hope everyone will like what they see and enjoy the experience.”
