Poolfoot Farm has hosted a number of festivals recently

Fuse will host an Under 8 and Under 15 football festival at the Club’s training ground at Poolfoot Farm on Saturday.

A number of football festivals have been held at the centre in recent weeks, with different age groups taking part in tournaments.

Mick Horsfall, centre facilities manager for Fuse said: “It will be a very successful festival if the ones we’ve hosted recently are anything to go by.

“We’ve touched nearly every age group from the local area so far, and have had Under 7’s right through to 15’s take part.

“They’ve all been great so far so hopefully there will be a continuation of that.

“The main thing is getting the kids playing but it’s an opportunity to bring people down to see the development and how rapidly it’s moving.

“It’s great for the football but also great for people to get an insight into Fleetwood Town.”

Graham Alexander’s first team squad will sample their new home for the first time when they return to pre-season training on Wednesday.

“Things are looking brilliant at Fuse for the players’ return next week. The first team staff have been down the past couple of weeks getting everything ready.

“We’re trying to bridge the community being part of the professional game, and with Poolfoot now it really does give people that chance to feel part of something which is great for the town.”
