Cod Army quizzed the players and management

Fleetwood Town Football Club hosted a successful fans forum event at the Parkside Suite on Wednesday evening.

Manager Graham Alexander was in attendance alongside first team players Chris Maxwell, Declan McManus, Eggert Jonsson, Jimmy Ryan and Nathan Pond.

The Cod Army faithful posed their questions to the players and management, which were responded to with some fantastic answers.

New signings Jonsson, McManus and Ryan were all given a warm welcome by the Town supporters, who are eager to see their new stars in action.

With a number of people in attendance, and a free pint of Carling upon entry, the event brought closer the players and supporters.

Manager Alexander said: "It's something that we're always up for. I believe it should happen a bit more often if we can arrange it, I know it's difficult sometimes.

“I think we have to have that interaction between the supporters and the players and staff. It's the best way to get to know people better.

“I don't think you can get that across as much on a match day which is the majority of our interaction. These are the sort of occasions.

“Now we're up here training in the locality and supporters are more than welcome to come down and watch us train, it will just help the Club to grow - as it has done for the last 10 years."
