Day one in Germany for the Cod Army

Graham Alexander's men arrive in Hennef

Fleetwood Town set off on their pre-season tour to Germany early on Sunday morning with a 8.55am flight from Manchester airport to Frankfurt.

The squad had to report to Terminal One for 6.30am. They were joined at Manchester airport by fellow League One side Chesterfield and Championship outfit Huddersfield Town, who were also flying out for the respective pre-season tours.

Town’s flight from Manchester to Germany took approximately one hour 15 minutes. Upon arrival in Germany, a coach was awaiting to take the squad to their training base in Hennef which was 93 miles.

Fleetwood arrived at Sportschule, Hennef, at just before 3pm local time, 2pm BST. The complex has a wide range of fantastic facilities including pitches, swimming pool, gymnasium and a volley ball court.

The squad got together at 4pm local time for a run and stretching session following a long day of travelling before dinner was served at 5pm.

The team spent the remainder of the night resting up before a triple session on Monday.
