Bobby Grant puts pen to paper at Fleetwood Town

22 July 2015

Grant second player to sign today for FTFC

Fleetwood Town Football Club can confirm the signing of attacking midfielder Bobby Grant on a two year deal.

Grant spent the 2014/15 campaign with League Two side Shrewsbury Town and impressed as Salop gained promotion to the third tier, winning the league’s Player of the Month for March.

The Liverpool born player began his career with Accrington Stanley in 2006 and has also represented Scunthorpe United, Rochdale, Blackpool and most recently Shrewsbury.

Manager Graham Alexander said: “We know Bobby well, we had him on loan two seasons ago and we have played against him as well.

“We know of Bobby’s qualities and we are really pleased to get him on board. We want to add goals to the team and Bobby will certainly provide that.

“He was unfortunate when we brought him in on loan. He hadn’t fully recovered from the previous injury he had and broke down really quickly.

“He played a lot of games last season and we believe he has overcome the problem he had before. He has had a thorough medical and trained with the team this pre-season prior to the Germany trip and impressed.

“Both of our signings today have great personalities. They want to prove on the pitch how good they both are and they want to show what they can do on the ball.”

Bobby Grant could be in action this weekend against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. So why not make the trip up north this weekend, kick-off 3pm on Saturday. For ticket info, please click here.
