Fleetwood Town’s continued bid to attract new fans from outside the town continue with the Community Trust launching a first time fans free bus service from Poulton for the Oldham game on Saturday 17th January.A double decker provided by Blackpool Transport will pick up from Poulton and Carleton.
Matt Hilton, Head of Community and Education is looking forward to seeing a positive response to the scheme.
He said: “The Club has successfully launched the Over Wyre service to residents so we thought we should focus on attracting families and first time fans from the Poulton and Carleton areas as we look to grow our fan base from out of town.
"We have promoted the scheme in local schools via assemblies and flyers in St John’s, The Breck, Carleton Green, Carr Head, St Chad’s, Baines and Hodgson Schools as well to Poulton Town and Poulton Youth Junior football clubs. We are looking forward to seeing some good numbers attending and enjoying the Highbury match day experience.”
The bus will pick up Tithebarn Street (opposite The Golden Ball) at 1.30pm and The Castle Gardens at 1.40pm before heading straight to Highbury Stadium. U12’s must be accompanied by an adult.
