Ball: We need to get reactions from each other now

15 February 2015

Striker made his 100th Town appearance at Gresty Road

David Ball wants the Town squad to get a reaction from one and other after defeat against Steve Davis’ Crewe Alexandra.

Fleetwood were beaten by a goal in each half from strikers Nicky Ajose and Marcus Haber which ended their two game unbeaten run.

Ball was partnered up front with Liam McAlinden for the second game on the bounce as the pair impressed against Barnsley at Oakwell in midweek.

The fixture was a special one for the striker however as he marked his 100th appearance in Fleetwood colours.

Speaking after the game, he said: “I thought for the first 40 minutes or so we bossed it and created some good opportunities and their goalkeeper has pulled off a few good saves.

“We didn’t really react well enough to going behind and that’s something we’ll look at as a team individually and collectively.

“We need to come out now and get reactions from one and other.

“As a group we need to find that mentality where we can go on runs and get back to back results.

“We’ve certainly got a good enough team, but we need to show our form out on the pitch to do that."
