Town goalkeeper Chris Maxwell gives donation to Brian House

16 December 2015

Welshman visited the local hospice this afternoon

Goalkeeper Chris Maxwell visited Brian House children’s hospice in Bispham this afternoon on behalf of the team to hand out a cheque of £300.

The visit followed Nathan Pond and Jamie Proctor’s appearance at Red Marsh school in Thornton earlier in the day, where they handed out the same amount to help with the cost of a new minibus.

The money was once again raised by the players, and will go towards helping the hospice and their ongoing care of youngsters in the local area.

Maxwell said: “It was fantastic to visit Brian House today to see the brilliant work that the staff do on a day to day basis.

“It’s a hospice that is very much close to my heart as my Mother works in a similar environment back home in Wales.

“The money the players have all raised together will no doubt help Brian House immensely.”
