Manager's thoughts ahead of Walsall at Highbury Stadium

Manager Steven Pressley told the media ahead of this weekend’s game at home to Walsall, that Fleetwood Town can take a great deal of confidence from their recent displays at Highbury Stadium.

The Cod Army host the Saddlers this weekend as they look to build on their JPT victory over Morecambe on Tuesday night.

Speaking to the press, the boss said: “We now have some really important games in League One coming up, starting this weekend against Walsall.

“Ultimately the league is our focus. We performed very well against Walsall last month in the FA Cup but unfortunately we lost the game.

“We need a similar type of performance but obviously a different result. We have won our last four home games and we should take great confidence from that.

“Home games are the building blocks of success and we have to keep ensuring we keep on performing well at Highbury.

“We are starting to see a consistency in performances and hopefully in time we will start to see a consistency of victories together.

“Although we have won three of our last four games, I want a lot more than that. Some of our recent performances have indicated that we can do that.”
