Winger has enjoyed a fruitful loan stay at Highbury

Tariqe Fosu believes the Cod Army have to be more ruthless in front of goal when they take on Bury at Highbury this weekend.

The man on-loan from Reading started against Wigan Athletic last Monday afternoon, and will hope to keep his place in the side for the visit of the Shakers.

Town beat the Greater Manchester outfit earlier on in the season at Gigg Lane, as they put four past David Flitcroft’s outfit.

Fosu said: “We will make sure our heads are up heading into this weekend’s game. We have worked hard in training leading up to Saturday and it is an important match.

“We will work hard like we did last Monday against Wigan Athletic. We need to start picking up victories and hopefully that will start on Saturday against Bury.

“We are playing good football to be honest but we just need that final cutting edge in front of goal. We need to be more ruthless as a team because we do create opportunities.

“I am sure we will put the chances away if we keep on creating the opportunities.

“I will always work hard for the team, whether that is if I start the game or come off the bench. It is a team game.

“We are match for anybody. We will be a match for Bury and hopefully this time we can stick our chances away.

“We want to start the New Year with three points. This is a fresh game; we will have a fresh mind set and we want to reward the fans with a victory.

“I have enjoyed my time at Fleetwood Town and it has been a great experience. It is good to work under different managers and I am learning every day.  I will keep on working hard every day.“
