Winger hopes Town can progress to face Barnsley in Northern Final
Tariqe Fosu admits Tuesday night’s northern area semi-final clash against Morecambe in the JPT is a big one for the players. The Cod Army are potentially only three games away from a Wembley final appearance after defeating Shrewsbury Town and Sheffield United thus far.
And Fosu, who is currently enjoying a loan spell at the Club from Championship side Reading, is excited ahead of the clash with the Shrimps.
He said: “We’ve just been getting back into training over the past week or so, and preparing for the next game as it’s a big one.
“We’re potentially only three games away from Wembley so it’s important for us as a team because we want to win it.
“There isn’t a real amount of rest time for us really because we’ve got another difficult clash against Walsall at the weekend then.”
Fosu has caught the eye of the Town fans with some fine performances, and insists he wants to continue his good form.
“I always try my best and want to excite the home fans all the time. I like to show people what I can do.
“I’m enjoying my loan a lot at the moment because it’s a nice club with nice people. The fans are good too which helps.
“You could see at the Blackpool game that they were behind us throughout, and it was upsetting with couldn’t win for them.
“I speak all the time to David Ball and David Henen in training, and we try to practice things a lot to improve.
“We do a lot of link-ups and try to take them into the game with us then. Hopefully you’ll see a lot more of us three.”
