First team squad visited local children's hospice

Town’s players also visited local children’s hospice Brian House this afternoon to hand out Christmas presents to the youngsters.

The likes of Club captain Nathan Pond, Jamie Proctor, Nick Haughton, Ash Hunter and Danny Andrew were all in attendance.

Pond said: “We’ve got to do all we can for these children as they are less fortunate than us health wise.

“If we can come and put a little smile on their face and make a difference then it delights us.

“There’s some top notch facilities here for the kids and they’ve got all the latest toys.

“The staff who work here have to be very strong minded but they do a fantastic job.

“Our job as footballers is a walk in the park compared to what the staff have to do here.”
