Jonathan Tombs doing 'brave the shave' challenge

Loyal Cod Army fan Jonathan Tombs is hoping tomorrow's game against Colchester United is a double celebration.

As well as hoping for three points, Tombs is doing a 'Brave the Shave' challenge in Jim’s Bar post match at 5.30pm in support of Macmillan Cancer support.

He is hoping the Cod Army faithful will come along and support him in his efforts to raise money.

He said: “I'm braving the shave for my grandmothers who I have lost through cancer. I was so close to them growing up, I think about them and miss them so much everyday.

“It’s not only that though, I am doing this for the good cause as well! I'd like to thank the Club for supporting me and promoting this challenge, I hope to see everyone in Jim’s Bar post match celebrating three points and supporting my challenge!"

By braving the shave you’ll be standing proudly alongside men and women with cancer whilst raising money so Macmillan Cancer Support can help people take control back from cancer.

We know that cancer can turn the world upside down and that’s especially true when it comes to appearance.

Men and women with cancer go through hair loss and changes to their appearance that can affect everything from the way they look, to how they feel.

So when they need someone to turn to, Macmillan is here. Right from the moment of diagnosis, through treatment and beyond, we’re here to give people the energy and inspiration to take back control of their life.
