Steve Curwood holds tour at Poolfoot Farm

Fleetwood Town Chief Executive Steve Curwood held a tour at Poolfoot Farm earlier this week for local residents.

The locals had the opportunity to walk around and see the fantastic new site first hand and hear about the facility’s progress so far.

They also learnt about the final stages of development at Poolfoot and the plans and aspirations for the site, which has so far proven to be a huge success both for the Club and the local community.

The plan is for Poolfoot Farm to be a step in the right direction for the Club’s professional development and also to be regularly used by local residents and the wider community so they can also enjoy benefits.

Pleased to have the opportunity to show the local residents around, Curwood said: “It was long overdue but an extremely worthwhile exercise.

“It is key that we continue to work closely with those closest to the site, especially whilst we remain in the construction phase.

“As we already operate at Highbury Stadium, which is also a residential area, we know all too well the need to have a strong and healthy relationship with our neighbours.

“The support and general interest shown in the development was pretty much universal and it is great to hear.

“We hope to do more of these walks around the site in the very near future as we close in on completion. We aim to keep local residents up to date with not only is happening at Poolfoot but also the wide ranging work and initiatives we are undertaking in the community.”

Fleetwood Town will continue to provide updates in the coming weeks about the progress at Poolfoot Farm.
