Andy Pilley presented Julian Prescott with the donationClub chairman Andy Pilley donated a cheque of £2,000 to Fleetwood Town Juniors before last Saturday’s opening day game against Southend United.
The donation was made to thank Town’s juniors for their outstanding support at the Club’s annual family fun day which was held at Highbury in May.
Pilley presented the cheque to Fleetwood Town Juniors’ chairman Julian Prescott on the pitch ahead of kick off last weekend.
Speaking after receiving the donation, Prescott said: “We’re extremely delighted to receive the donation and were shocked too.
“We constantly receive support from the Club via the kits which were supplied to us at the start of the season for all the kids.
“The support we receive from the Club not just financially is superb, and it will only benefit these kids in the long run.
“We got involved with the family fun day earlier in the summer, but again for us to just be involved with that is our way of returning something back to the Club.
“With our new partnership with the Club and Fuse Football, it has developed a huge amount of interest both from children wanting to join along with coaches and parents who want to help out.”
