Grant, McLaughlin, Ball, Jordan and Ryan all on community visits this week

The Fleetwood Town first team continued their active approach to the Club’s community projects with two visits to local sports camps.

Bobby Grant and Conor McLaughlin visited Carleton Green to meet the children participating in the August sports camps, which have once again been a huge success during the school holidays.

Meanwhile, Grant and McLaughlin’s team mates David Ball, Jimmy Ryan and Stevie Jordan went to Fleetwood High for a similar visit.

Ball, speaking from the visit at Fleetwood High admitted it was vitally important that the first team continued their regular community appearances.

He said: “It is a big thing for the Club to get involved with the local community. It is good to see the kids that come down and support Fleetwood Town on Saturday’s.

They are the future of this Club with everything that is happening with the training ground. We need to get the kids involved with everything that we are doing and there is no reason why they can’t.

I enjoy the community appearances and seeing the kids’ faces when we turn up. It is part of the job  that we all love doing and hopefully we will see them all on a Saturday afternoon cheering the team on.”

The Club have so far made 16 community appearances since the start of the season and many more are planned by the Community Trust.
