Defender named in Northern Ireland squad
Fleetwood Town defender Conor McLaughlin has been named in the Northern Ireland squad for their UEFA Euro 2016 qualifiers against Faroe Islands and Greece in October.The 23-year-old left back, who played the full 90 minutes for his home nation in their famous 2-1 victory against Hungary in the Group F opener in September, will be looking to build on his three caps so far.
Northern Ireland play their first home game of the campaign against the Faroe Islands on Saturday 11 October at Windsor Park, Belfast, kick-off: 7.45pm, followed by an away trip to Greece on Tuesday 14 October at the Karaiskakis Stadium, Piraeus, kick-off 9.45pm (local time), 7.45pm (UK time).
