Madden's men to meet the Blades in the next round

28 October 2014

Town overcame Accrington to reach this stage

Fleetwood Town will host Sheffield United in the second round of the FA Youth Cup at Highbury.

Craig Madden's youngsters reached this stage for the first time in their history following a 1-0 win over Accrington Stanley at Highbury last week courtesy of a stunning goal from Liam Wood.

And they will come up against the Blades who beat Hartlepool United 3-1 at Bramall Lane with the Steel City club grabbing two late goals to wrap up the game.

Fleetwood will be looking to continue their fine form against the Yorkshire club however, with the Cod Army currently in a rich vein of form, having won three games on the spin.

The Cup tie itself needs to be played before the 22nd November 2014.

Admission prices for the match at Highbury will be announced in due course, with supporters welcome to come and cheer the Cod Army on.
