Cod Army set for a visit to the Abbey Stadium
Fleetwood Town will travel to League Two side Cambridge United in the first round of the FA Cup.The tie will see Cod Army goalkeeper Chris Maxwell return to the Abbey Stadium where the spent the first half of last season on-loan.
Town have been involved in the first round stage for the past six seasons, with the 2007/08 campaign the last time they failed to reach this stage.
In all, Fleetwood have reached the first round 11 times in their history, second round four times, and the third round on one occasion when they hosted rivals Blackpool.
The ties for this year’s competition will take place the weekend of the 8th/9th of November.
