Boxing event to be held at Highbury in July
Partners Apocalypse Promotions organisers of the event present a number of contests headlined by Mark Webster (Fleetwood) vs Mike Carter (Malta) in an International Heavyweight Championship match. The co main event will see Wayne O’Neill (Fleetwood) vs Felice Cancellara (Italy) in another international contest at super middleweight.
Doors will open at 1:30pm, the event will start with three junior exhibitions bouts, featuring Apocalypse Boxing and Fitness U16 boxers, showcasing the skills of the junior classes.
The final nine bouts will be battling it out for the inaugural ‘Team Boxing Championship’. This will see a team of local fighters trained by Apocalypse Boxing and Fitness representing Fleetwood Town Football Club against a team of fighters representing Leeds United Football Club. Each bout will be scored with the winner receiving a point the winning team with the most point will lift the trophy.

“We hosted this event in summer 2011 and it was a great success and with the Fleetwood public being big boxing fans we are sure it will be a popular community event once again.”
Bobby Carolan from Apocalypse Promotions is delighted to have secured Highbury as the venue for the event.

All bouts will be held on the pitch with all spectators seated in the Parkside stand £25 Adults £5 U16’s. Tickets are available via the ticket office at Highbury for in person sales from Tuesday 17th June at 9am.
