Jon Parkin and Alan Goodall depart Fleetwood Town

Fleetwood Town have informed Jon Parkin and Alan Goodall that they will not be offered new deals at Highbury ahead of the 2014/15 season following the end of their current contracts.

The pair both featured for the Cod Army in last week’s Play-Off final victory over Burton Albion, and played an integral part in Fleetwood’s promotion to League One.

Defensive midfielder Goodall spent three seasons at Highbury and was a part of two promotion winning squads.

Striker Parkin, who joined Town ahead of their first season in the Football League, made 40 appearances for Graham Alexander’s men in 2013/14, scoring ten goals in the process.

Everyone at Fleetwood Town would like to wish Jon and Alan well in their future endeavours.

The Club remains in advanced talks with several players over new contracts, and expect to announce details in the coming days.

The loan deals for, Josh Morris, Charlie Taylor and Iain Hume have all come to an end. We thank Josh, Charlie and Iain for their efforts.
