Hundreds of fans have already reserved their seats for the 2014/15 campaign

After announcing that season ticket prices have been frozen for all supporters ahead of Fleetwood Town’s promotion to Sky Bet League 1, fans have turned out in their numbers to ensure they are part of the Cod Army’s next big step.

Jon Niblock, a 17-year-old college student from Lytham St Annes High, was the first Town fan to purchase his season ticket for the upcoming season.

Those, like Jon, who purchase their new Fleetwood season ticket during the early bird period, will be amongst the cheapest watching League 1 football next campaign.

And Jon believes the club’s new prices represents ‘excellent value’ for money as they prepare to welcome sides such as Sheffield United, Doncaster Rovers, Coventry City, as well as neighbours, Preston North End to Highbury Stadium.

“It’s excellent value, fantastic for League 1 football. I waited from half past eight after travelling from Squires Gate,” Jon told the club’s official website.

“I always come up to the games and go to the away games as well and teams like Preston and Sheffield United, they will be really big to see.”

Looking back on a memorable season, Jon has also picked out the moments that stood out for him.

“It’s got to be Wembley. Winning there and beating Burton, who we have had some strong games against, some losses, some draws, but we finally beat them at Wembley.

“At Highbury, it was definitely beating York. The crowd was fantastic that night and it was a really good atmosphere.”

With many expected to follow Jon over the coming days and weeks by snapping up their season ticket, Jon also believes the Parkside Stand is close to competing with the Memorial end when it comes to atmosphere.

And before leaving Highbury, Jon gave his opinion why Parkside is the best place to secure your seat ahead of a season of League 1 football.

“I try and get people to come when I can. We are getting there; we are trying to match the Memorial (crowd)!

“It’s a fantastic view for me, it’s one of the best views from the ground. I can really hone in on the tactics from the bench and get a good view of the whole pitch.”
