Defender to remain with the Cod Army for 2014/15 campaign

Fleetwood Town can confirm that Stephen Jordan has signed a new one-year contract with the Club.

The 32-year-old left back, who joined the Cod Army last summer, made 11 appearances in 2013/14 as Fleetwood secured promotion to League One.

Jordan, who has past experience of playing in the Premier League, told the Fleetwood Town website he is over the moon to be staying at Highbury.

“The gaffer rang me whilst I was away on holiday and said that he wanted me to stay, so I am over the moon that I have signed a new deal.

“I am really pleased everything has got sorted and I can’t wait for the season to kick-off next month.

“It was a brilliant end to a great season for the Club at Wembley and everybody says if you are going to get promoted, doing it via the Play-Offs is the best way.

“The Club is definitely on the up and long may it continue.”
