Town capture exciting young striker from Skelmersdale United
Fleetwood Town are delighted to confirm the signing of striker Matty Hughes from Skelmersdale United for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old frontman, who attracted the attention of a number of Football League clubs, has hit 16 goals in all competitions this season, helping United climb to the top of The Evo-Stik League Northern Premier Division.
Hughes began his career at Everton in their youth academy and joined Cheshire side Golborne Sports last season after his departure from Goodison Park.
Hughes will officially join up with his new team mates next week.
