Ten facts about Josh Morris

We have ten interesting facts about our new loan signing from Ewood Park

1. He joined Blackburn Rovers at the age of 13 and has been at the club ever since. 

2. Josh made his professional debut in Blackburn Rovers’ 7-1 defeat at Manchester United in November 2010, coming on as a second half substitute for Brett Emerton.

3. He played in a further three Premier League games for Rovers that season, including a memorable 3-1 win over Liverpool at Ewood Park.

4. Josh got his revenge over Manchester United 12 months later, playing the majority of the second half as they secured a famous 3-2 win at Old Trafford with Grant Hanley scoring the winner. 

5. Morris made his first steps away from Ewood Park in March 2012, joining Yeovil Town on loan and playing five games on loan for the Huish Park side.

6. The 22-year-old played in Blackburn’s last Premier League game, a 2-1 defeat away at Chelsea in May 2012. 

7. Josh played for Blackburn Rovers against Greek giants AEK Athens here at Highbury in a pre-season friendly that summer. 

8. Later that year he signed for Rotherham United on loan, and played the full 90 minutes against Fleetwood Town for the Millers at Highbury in November 2012.

9. Morris featured for Carlisle United earlier this season, playing seven times for the Cumbrians, facing his hometown club Preston North End on Boxing Day. 

10. Morris will take the number 24 shirt at Highbury.
