Surface deemed unplayable at Rodney Parade

Fleetwood Town’s game at Newport County has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at Rodney Parade.

Heavy overnight rain in South East Wales resulted in former Premier League referee Steve Dunn calling the game off just after 10.30am.

The Newport pitch has endured problems over the past few weeks, with County having played just one game on home soil so far in 2014.

No date has yet been set for the rearranged fixture.

Town are next in action on Tuesday night at Wycombe Wanderers and if you can’t make the game, remember to tune in to Cod Army Player with full match commentary from Adams Park commencing at 7.30pm
