Go and cheer the youngsters onGraham Alexander and the Fleetwood Town first team may not be in action this weekend, but that doesn't mean football isn't still going ahead for the Cod Army.
The U18s are in league action away at Oldham Athletic in the Northern Youth Alliance League, kick-off 11.30am. The young Cod Army will be keen to get back to winning ways after a run of three league defeats ahead of their FA Youth Cup third round tie at Sunderland in a couple of weeks time.
Town currently occupy 14th place in the North West section of the Youth Alliance League, and a win could potentially move them up to 12th should other results go their way.
The game will be played at Oldham's training ground, Chapel Road, 11.30am kick-off. Fans are welcome to go along and watch.
Manager Craig Madden is likely to be without both Louis Myers and Jonny Conway up-front, with goalkeeper Liam Bleeker set to return to the side following a spell on the first team bench recently.
Defender Andrew Smith remains a doubt as he recovers from a long-term injury.
Oldham head into the game coming off the back of a recent 2-1 defeat at home to local neighbours Rochdale, and are currently eighth in the division with 21 points from 13 matches.
Managed by Tony Philliskirk, Oldham will themselves be keen to get back to winning ways after the disappointing defeat to Dale.
They will be without Danny Byrnes, and Ryan Ellison, both of whom have returned to training after recent injuries.
Fleetwood will have to be wary of Latics midfielder Jack Tuohy, who has recently earned a call-up to the senior first team squad.
Tuohy was drafted into the first team by manager Lee Johnson for the FA Cup tie against Leyton Orient recently after a series of fine displays for the youth team.
