Town's backline have conceded only twice all month
Fleetwood Town central defender Stephen Jordan has been nominated for the League One player of the month for November. The former Manchester City man was part of a Cod Army defence that leaked only two league goals throughout the month, and has been one of the standouts so far this campaign.
Jordan will be up against the below three players for the award:
Carl Baker (MK Dons) – Midfielder
Still getting back to full fitness, he has provided an irresistible spark by running at defenders and mesmerising them at will. Baker ran the game and struck a fine low winner against Port Vale, while he had two assists in the 6-0 win over Colchester United.
Aden Flint (Bristol City) – Central defender
A real leader in a City defence which became miserly in November with two clean sheets and only two goals conceded. Flint has added maturity to command in the air and strength in the tackle. Always a threat at set pieces, too.
Paddy Madden (Scunthorpe United) – Striker
Three goals in three November games for the Irishman who typified his side’s new-found energy with a series of tireless displays. Madden’s eye for goal was evident against Barnsley with a poacher’s strike.
ALL WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY DECEMBER 5 2014
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Head of Communications John Nagle; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
