Youngster agrees deal to join Fleetwood Town

Fleetwood Town Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Harvey Hodd.

The youngster, who turned 19 yesterday, will feature in Barry Nicholson’s development squad after penning a deal with the Cod Army.

His most recent stint came with Lowestoft Town after spending a period with Championship side Norwich City.

Hodd joined Lowestoft a week after his 16th birthday but after just one first team game was snapped up by the Canaries’ academy.

He earned a cup winners medal in the FA Youth Cup won by Norwich City against Chelsea in 2013 before re-joining Lowestoft Town.

Speaking to the Club website, Harvey said: “I have been here for a little while now. I joined Fleetwood Town on trial earlier this season and played a game but unfortunately picked up a hamstring injury.

“I came back about a week and half ago. I have since played another game and the Club have offered me a contract which I am delighted about.

“I am miles from home but that doesn’t faze me. I was at Norwich City last season and I was there for two and a half years.

“I play in the centre of midfield. I have enjoyed my time here so far and my objective now is to push on and try and break into the first team.”
