Great turn out at Highbury for Open Day

Fleetwood Town’s Open Day was a huge success with a number of Cod Army supporters coming along to Highbury to meet their favourite stars.

The day began with the first team squad holding an open training session on the award winning Highbury pitch from 10.30am until 12.30pm.

With Sky Sports in attendance filming the day, supporters were also treated to a ground tour as they got to see what it is like at Fleetwood Town on a day to day basis.

Afterwards, manager Graham Alexander and members of the first team squad took part in a question and answer session in Jim’s Sports Bar.

The day concluded with a signing session with the full Fleetwood Town first team squad in Red and Whites.

Community Marketing & Events Officer Declan Cox told the Club website the day went perfectly and according to plan.

He said: “The Club received a lot of positive feedback following the Open Day and we thank everyone that came along.

“All the supporters looked to be having a great day and it was a perfect opportunity for the fans to meet the first team squad.

“Once again, thanks to everybody who came along and we hope to see you all on Saturday for the game against Crewe.”

Coming up on the Junior Cod Army diary are the Halloween and Christmas Party. Further information will be announced in due course.
