Newcastle United striker joins Fleetwood for one month

Newcastle United striker Adam Campbell has completed a 28 day loan deal to join Fleetwood Town.

The England U19 striker, who has on loan at Scottish side St Mirren last season, will be available for selection for this weekend’s League One opener against Crewe Alexandra.

Capped by England at U16 and U17 level, Campbell was named in the latter’s squad for the Algarve Tournament at the beginning of 2011 and scored on his debut after just five minutes.

The teenager has played three times for Newcastle United so far and made his competitive bow for the Magpies against Atromitos in the Europa League in August 2012.

His Premier League debut followed seven months later at home to Stoke City, as he came off the bench late in the second half to help the North East outfit claim a 2-1 victory.

Season tickets are still on sale at the early bird prices with the deadline just before kick-off on Saturday against Crewe Alexandra. Full details here
