Your chance to join Fleetwood Town
Fans of Fleetwood Town are being offered a unique opportunity to rub shoulders with their footballing heroes – thanks to the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
The Sky Bet League 2 club are gearing up for their big televised Area Quarter-Final with Carlisle United on Wednesday, November 13 by taking on the Johnstone’s Paint Pot Challenge 24 hours earlier.
And one lucky fan will have the opportunity to join the ten players and management staff as the club’s ‘11th man’ for the ultimate test of accuracy.
Entrants have to try and chip the ball from the angle of the penalty area into a giant inflatable paint pot placed on the six yard box.
A successful chip in is worth ten points, while one point is accumulated each time the paint pot is hit.
Clubs will be attempting to emulate Oxford United who won the challenge last season, claiming the first prize of Johnstone’s Paint product to use on club projects in the process.
More than 40,000 people have flocked to the Official Johnstone’s Paint Trophy YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/user/OfficialJPT to watch the Paint Pot Challenges from the last two seasons.
Ben Wilde, brand and sponsorship manager for Johnstone’s Paint, said: “Fleetwood Town are having an excellent run in this season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and we are delighted they are taking on the Paint Pot Challenge ahead of their big televised game.
“The 11th man competition is a superb initiative for fans.
“To have the opportunity to go and join the players at the end of their training session and be part of their team for the Paint Pot Challenge is a fantastic prize for supporters, and we thank Fleetwood for their co-operation.
“Who knows, if the fan impresses as the 11th man, he may well get signed up by the manager!”
