Fleetwood Town Juniors helped to raise over £800 to share with "Chloe's Wish To Walk" campaign last weekend.

The youngsters held an invitational tournament at Highbury Stadium with teams including Fleetwood Gym, Wyre Juniors, Poulton Town and Fleetwood Gym taking part. Children from Fleetwood Town Community Trust taking part in the Soccer School also participated. The event was held over Saturday and Sunday fundraising events such as a tombola stall and a penalty shootout. Local girl Chloe New has Cerebral Palsy and it is hoped treatment in the United States will give the ten-year-old a chance to be more independent. Juniors chairman Julian Prescott said: “Our first invitational tournament proved to be a huge success. Thanks to the full support of Fleetwood Town Football Club who were able to provide the facilities for a full weekend of fun, entertainment and football for over 150 children and their friends and families. “Teams from all over the north-west were able to experience what Highbury and the Cod Army has to offer. Fleetwood Gym kindly provided young officials for free and we were able to raise £855 half of which will be going to Chloe's appeal. I’d like to offer sincere thanks to all those who helped and joine
