Under 16's Go Free

16 July 2013

Sponsored by

The initiative was launched back in May with the aim of attracting more of the future generation of support here at Fleetwood Town. It has proved to be extremely popular with over 1,000 high school students across the area signing up for the membership scheme.

Player’s along with Matt Hilton and his Fleetwood Town Community Trust staff have been busy this summer visiting the local High Schools, promoting the scheme, and the football club. They have been delighted with the take up and growing interest.

Matt Hilton said ‘To offer  completely free entry for under 16’s here at Highbury  is a bold statement from the chairman, and the direction in which he wants to take the club. I personally don’t know of another club that goes as far as giving free entry to all high school students. We have a good level of support already at the club from this age group but this will really now take this to the next level.  The reception we received in the local schools, and the interest and knowledge many already had of the club, was superb. We have been delighted at the numbers who have signed up already.’’

It’s not too late to get your ‘U16’s GO FREE’ Membership and to ensure you get your free ticket for the club’s first home league game vs Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday August 3rd. (See below for details of to join and how the scheme works).

What is the ‘Under 16’s GO FREE’ scheme
The Under 16’s GO FREE initiative is a membership scheme aimed at substantially growing the numbers of high school students coming through the turnstiles, and is a first here at Fleetwood Town.  Anyone under the age of 16 as at 1st September 2013 can join the scheme, and gain free entry to every Football League fixture in the 2013/2014 season.

The free tickets can be obtained for the Memorial Stand (Terracing). Free tickets can also be obtained the seated Highbury and Parkside Stand but must obtained alongside a paying Adult, Senior or U18 ticket.

How do I join the scheme?
Application forms can be completed in person at the club shop, open Monday-Friday from 9am until 5pm and from 9am until kick off on match days, or by downloading a copy here. There is no charge for joining the scheme.

How do I obtain free entry to home league fixtures?
Simply present your Under 16’s GO FREE membership card at the ticket office and the ticket office staff will issue you with a free ticket for the league game of your choice.*

The Ticket office is open Monday – Friday from 9am until 5pm and is also open from 9am until kick off on match days. Tickets are normally available up to two months prior to a fixture.

Unfortunately free tickets can’t be purchased online but supporters can purchase over the phone by calling the ticket office on 01253 775080.

It is advisable at games where a higher than normal crowd is expected that you obtain your ticket well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Can I transfer my card or ticket to another person?
No, the card must only be used by person named on the card. Consistent checks are made at the turnstiles to ensure that the free ticket scheme is not abused. Your school friends can apply anytime.

What if I lose my card?
Please inform the ticket office who will be able to reissue a replacement

What if I am not yet at High School?
Younger supporters can enjoy the same free entry to home league matches but have their own ‘Junior Cod Army’ which provides other benefits targeted towards a younger audience.
