Fleetwood Town arrived at their Alpine training base on Saturday and manager Graham Alexander wasted no time putting his squad to work. The team took part in a run aimed at loosening the legs after an early start from the north-west.
“It was a case of getting the journey and any stiffness out of the legs. The proper work on the pitch starts on Sunday.
“We’re together 24/7 for the next week and this will help with the training and it will help come together as a team. The lads have returned from close season in reasonable shape and we are now going to build on that,” said Alexander.
The Town players face a busy itinerary over the next seven days with early starts featuring each day and two practice games.
“We have a busy schedule starting at 7am each morning and we’ll end up having three sessions each day. It’s going to be a hard-working, but enjoyable, week.”
